CrewLAB
ECXC runs on CrewLAB, a free phone app. If you want to know when practice is or what a coach just posted, that's where you look. Athletes check it most days. Parents get the calendar and announcements without sitting in the team chat.
Why one app
Because group texts scatter and email gets ignored. When rain moves practice, one notification reaches everyone at once, instead of a text thread half the parents never joined. And every channel is visible to the volunteers, so the conversations around your athlete happen where responsible adults can read them. CrewLAB designed its messaging around SafeSport† guidelines and enforces the openness: messages are group-only, never one adult to one athlete.
For parents & supporters
Your account gets the team calendar, the announcements, and the supporters' channel, which is where the practical side of the team happens. The carpool your athlete needs to get to camp probably starts as a message there. You can message the volunteers directly whenever something needs an adult answer.
If your family chips in toward camp or makes a donation, you pay through the app. CrewLAB takes all major cards and bank transfer.
What you won't see: your athlete's check-ins, workout log, coach feedback, or the team chat. That's deliberate. Kids get a team space of their own, and what adults post stays in the open.
Waiver and forms
The waiver isn't in the app. You sign it when you register, on the training or camp page. A parent or guardian signs for an athlete under 18, adult athletes sign for themselves, and it has to be on file before the first practice. There's no paper version.
The parent handbook and the gear and vendor list are in the app, so you're always reading the current version. What a family gives, or doesn't, has no effect on who joins. Nobody checks.
Getting started
We send every invite ourselves; there's no public link to tap. Register for training or camp and tell us on the form where the athlete's invite should go, email or cell. Parents, check the invite box on the same form and yours comes too, and there's a spot for a second parent or guardian. When your invite arrives, install CrewLAB from the App Store or Google Play, or use app.crewlab.io in a browser, and follow the link.
Parents, one more step once you're in: open your profile, find Connected Athletes, and send your athlete a connection request. They confirm it from their side. That's what links your account to theirs.
Not registering an athlete? Boosters, alumni, family friends, and graduates sitting a summer out can still get in. Contact us with a line about how you're connected and we'll send a supporter invite.
